Many people here say that the H1B applicant can still stay in US as long as their petitions were submitted (doesn't matter when their OPT/F1 will be expired soon).

But what will happen if their petitions are rejected later because the H1B quota has been used up? They have to leave US, right? Why those people replied don't mention this???
