单身老猫, Immigration Question,

I'm on OPT now but not sure if I could get a job before it expires next April. So I decided to go to the community college in our area to take some prerequisits of the program that I'm interested in if I'll have to go backto school after my OPT is over. The international students office told me that if I filed 130 form asap for GC application (my hu*****and is a GC holder), I would be qualified for in-state tuition.

My question is if I filed 130 now, will that bring any trouble or side effects at all in the future as long as immigration issue is concerned? The international students office said it's not a problem at all but I am not quite assured.
