如何Keep她的合法身份？

LP现在还没有找到工作，她的OPT到年底用完。我是GC，要到年底才能申请公民。请
问：
1)。如果她OPT 用完后没有合法身份，会影响以后申请GC吗(譬如，我有公民后)？

2)。从申请公民到成公民须多长时间(in Nebraska Center)？
3)。如果我成公民后，她可以马上申请GC吗？到那时，在她申请GC时她的身份合法
吗？
我们很担心如何Keep她的合法身份？请大家帮帮忙。非常感谢！
