1. reschedule the coute date. Usually, the policeman pickup the same day for all his ticket that he gives out in a period. If you keep reschedule it (at least you can do it twice), he might forget the date and not go to the coute.
2. If he is not at the same side of the street as you, he might see different light. In some street cross, the light turns to red earlier in one side. I heard someone got the same ticket but the coute thought the policeman did wrong because he was not going in the same direction.
3. If you have to pay, there is another trick. You could pay 5 dollars more from a check. They will send you back a $5 check. If you do not deposit it, the case will not be closed and the record will not show when you purchase the insurance. I heard this one long time back, but do not know anyone who used it.
4. If you are moving out from that state and do not plan to go back in 7 years, you can ignore the ticket. The DMVs of different state do not exchange information and they clean records after 7 years.
