We are attempting to buy a house, both us and the sellers had agreed to a price and signed the contract two months ago. The closing is scheduled for this Friday, but the sellers are still not able to find a new house, so we agreed to a 30-days rent back after the closing date.
Yesterday, I got a call from my realtor with a request from the sellers that they want a rent back from the closing date thru the day they have a new house to move in. We refused the request(this has been very difficult sellers to deal with). Now I get a call today advising me that if we don't sign the addendum to allow them to stay in house till they find a new house, they won't show up to close.
What should we do?
what if the seller refuses to
