how to divorce in Toronto?

I am in Toronto, canadian citizen now.

I have been separated form my EX over 4 years. WE have two daughters, who lived with me since separation. FOr the past 4 years, he never paid one cent to us. That's not a big deal. I just wish that we could have a peaceful life without being bothered by him.

I have asked serveral times to finish divorce. However, he refused to sign separation agreement. So far, we don't have any legal agreement about the childern ... etc. Though we don't have any asset, however, he doesn't want to bother himself to sign any documents.

I know i can go to lawyer, but i heard that if there is no agreement, it will occure a lot of expense. I don't have so much money on it, even I have money, i prefer spending them on my children.

I have been bothered by this question for long time. Who can help me?
