911 Domestic Volience

Wife called 911 and hu*****and was arrested from the house. The police took pictures of torn clothes and bruise on wife's arm. Hu*****and was put in jail and bailed out for $1200. Hu*****and is applying for green card based on employment. What can they do now? The bad thing is wife called 911 several times before for small arguments but hu*****and never got arrested before.
