help

My hu*****and is in New Jerseyapplying Green Card. I am in Oregon. We will File I-485 and the lawyer said she never met such situation sinc we are not in the same service center according our address. I am very upset since the lawyer is not helpful at all. She said you two discuss and decide how to do. That is so confusing. How can we know?
Who had same situation or know how to deal with it, please help us. Thanks a lot!
