you supposed to have a lease contract along with a list of item condition to check inside the apartment. And you should review all the item and signed it, returning it to leasing office. In that list, the item condition should be clearly stated out. For example, yr renter claimed that the 3 light bulb are missing, if you stated in that list that when you moved in, they were missing already, then you have evidence to not pay them right now (not sth. u say right now). Same thing happened to the new stove and everything. But if all these thing about what they said are true, then you are responsible for these damages. If they said you could find yr own contract, maybe you can try to quote some price to see if it's worthy.
