How can I deal w/ landowner

I moved in one apt. @ May 10th. I paid one month rent and one month deposit before moving in. I told the landowner that I need this apt. just 6-8 months. She agreed and didn't ask me to sign a one-year lease. However, after I moved in, on May 11th. She called me 3 times and tried to push me to sign a one-year lease. I told her that I couldn't. On that night, she left a message on my cellphone, asking me move out next day. Of course, I didn't. Then she asked her friend called me 3 times with much nicer attitude, trying to persuade me to sign the lease. I refused too. My sister and I are very busy professionals, we don't have more time to find another apt. and moving in again in such a short time. And the landowner just gave us one set of keys for the apt. and refuse to gave another set. It's special key set. Nobody will copy that for me unless I prove that I'm the landowner. This really bothers me a lot. Because we don't have any contact with her, I don't know what kind of rights for both sides. Can anyone kindly give us some suggestion on how to deal with this rough situation?Thanks a lot. BTW, the landowner is an Chinese too. She believes that she can take back the apt. at whatever time she wants.
