退款问题

在加州的一家公司网上订了货, 后来退了货, 被称为20% 的款,我想让他们把余款还到我的信用卡上, 结果他们说余款放在他们公司作为我的credir, 下次购物的时候用,不能取回, 请问有什么法律条款可以阻止他们这么做, 把款要回来.
