PCT Aapplication gives you a global priority date, but you have to enter national stage individually (mostly EU, US, JP, KR and CHINA) after certain time.

The priority date means your invention is officially made in that date.  They cannot use inventions after that date to reject your application.

It is very complicated and if you are seriously in business, hire s patent lawyer.
