How to ask a letter?

I had a car accident several months ago and it was my fault. My company has been dealing with that and promised to pay all what it should be to the third party. I got a ticket from police officer and need to either admit quilty on court or show a letter from my insurance company which said how much and to whom they paid, to the court judge, so that my traffic point can be dismissed. I asked the guy who is dealing with the matter from my company and he only sent me a general letter instead of a detailed letter required by Court. I talked with him and he told me that was the only letter he can write for me. I don't know what to do next. Should I spend $300 to hire a lawyer or my company is not doing correctly. Any advice will be appreciated.
