承蒙老猫为首,以及其他人的指点,我们给房东,以书面的notice漏水必须立刻修理。 外加去市政府housing department做了备案。housing立刻安排了inspector到我家,open file表明漏水确凿,(除了漏水,还有一搬进来就不工作的烤箱,破损的冰箱架子,不工作的车库remoter等等。。)并且他们和房东电话了,给出1周的期限,否则我们郡的规定是:政府直接将房东告上法庭。
结果是,房东过去10年出租这个房子,并没有向政府备案,也没有取得政府的certified,(我们郡还必须要求,如果房东本人不在当地,必须在当地找一个代理人)通俗讲,这就叫“黑着租”? 然后房东突然今天给我们邮件,说收到政府无数邮件,告诉他已经违反了无数code,政府要对他罚款,于是他写了超级长邮件,节选一段,意思是这些事实都是:我们“想象”出来的。(imagined health violations )请问大家,10年黑租,一般政府要对房东罚款多少?还有,房东莫名其妙在结尾评价Cleveland都是poor和dangerous,到底是要干嘛?

3,我们的极品房东,还是说他2天前已经联系了plumber,但是从来没有plumbing公司联系我们。他要一口把plumbing的漏水,指责到我们negligence,说这一次他请来的plumber要对漏水全面检查,如果问题是因为我们失职造成,If my plumber during his next visit to the unit reports damage to the plumbing due to your negligence, then I expect that you will complete needed repairs and reimburse me for the last service call.
因为政府的人来inspect时,明确表明这种漏水不应该是我们该承担的责任。我的问题是:我现在需不需要找第二家plumbing公司进行检修,证明问题不在我这里?他找的plumbing会做什么样的证明,证明是我失职?会不会plumber伙同他伪证。是不是迄今为止plumber不愿上门,也是不想搅和他这些烂事?如果plumber书面出证明,plumber本人需要和我们一起上庭吗?
