04:02 PM EDT, 05/11/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (VRX) closed up almost 9% after Marketwatch.com reported a favorable ruling for Valeant in patent litigation over its biggest drug, Xifaxan,on two key issues, citing EvercoreISI analyst Umer Raffat. In addition, a 30-month stay on patent litigation has been extended, he said.
