Ask your friend to inform the insurance company of the accident and possible claim by the other party. Just wait and let the insurance company deal with it. As long as you are sure that you drove the car with your friend's permission, acual or implied, you are all right. But if your friend's insurance pays the claim, his insurance premium may rise.
