中国游客在美的急诊费

朋友来美期间发烧了，送到耶鲁急诊室。用了7个多小时，就验血，拍片，B超，也没啥大问题，就回去了。最近收到验血账单7090美元，其他检查费等 1080美元，分批寄到国内的，可能还有其他账单。朋友的旅游保险也就2万人民币，还不一定能报。如果朋友不付这笔钱，要紧吗？
