我的建议是根据你自己的调查而言的。

1.  你自己说：我们付的是non refundable flat fee. 经别人提醒，我们在网上查了一下，Ethics Opinion 611 prohibits "non-refundable flat fees". And Model Rule 1.16(d) （Texas）provides that “any advance payment of fee or expense that has not been earned or incurred” must be refunded upon termination of employment.

你这个Ethics Rule 和Model Rule都是律师的行规，，要由本地BAR来执行。

2.  credit card dispute

这个你可以file一个，http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0219-disputing-credit-card-charges?

但是具体你有没有接受到你付费的服务，或者你解雇对方是否符合雇佣合同，这些都是浑水，要弄清楚，可能需要有法律行业知识的人。虽然你可以file dispute，我觉得更有希望的是（1）Local Bar.
