住在一起也可以算分居甚至离婚。2008年房地产崩溃以后，很多离婚家庭都是被迫住在一起。关键是不要对社会宣称自己还是夫妻。这不仅仅是对邻居亲友的，你们也不能作为一个家庭去买车和房的保险，最好不要有共同银行账户等等。

英文的说法是“Not to hold themselves out as married couple".  

你自己可以对外说，Circumstances forced us to live under the same roof, but we have not been holding ourselves as married couple since our legal separation on x/x/2015.
