background check

I received a job offer from a government setting. However, before I finally can move there, they will run an extensive background on me. Five years ago, I had a misdemeanor charge and received a ticket. I went to the court and after six months, the charge was completely dismissed. Now I am a little nervous that it will show up during the background check and make them feel bad about me. Do you think this will make a big negative effect on me? I appreciate your advice. Thank you.
