This case is not just about the plaintiff seeking damages. It is more about educating the defendant that he should have been more careful in supervising children riding bicycles. When crossing the street, a reasonable person should have told the child to walk the bike instead of riding it out of a sloped driveway. The accident could have been much worse, the child could have been maimed or killed because of the defendant's negligent supervision. I hope this court send a message to the defendant by awarding the damage of $$$ to the plaintiff.
