Maybe you are too nice

If your landlords act badly, you may want to give them a taste of
their own medicine. Read your lease carefully, then you can take
actions to make them wanting to get rid of you. If they break the lease,
it is not your fault. I wouldn't suggest this to deal with nice landlords, but not all landlords are nice.
