大家帮帮我吧，在纽约上州开车吃了张冤枉TICKET

在纽约上州，帮忙朋友移车，被警察拦下来，警察叫出示车证和保险，才知道朋友车的保险已经过期，然后警察就给了我一张ticket " failure to produce insurance card"'.  上面是我的驾照号码。 我真的很郁闷，第一车子不是我的，第二我不知道朋友车的保险过期，因为平时他都开，第三我自己车就在不远而且有我自己的保险。 请问各位大侠，这种ticket 严重吗，我要怎么做，我要承担法律责任吗？
