options for the charges

I searched online that there are three options.

(1) plead not guilty
the clerks in the court will reschedule right away to another court date, maybe 8 to 9 months later.
(2) plead guilty
the judge will proceed to fine me in full.
(3) plead no contest
I was told that no contest is a kind of guilty plea. It is the almost same as gulity.

What I need say if the clerks in the court ask me my options.

I just want to talk with the judge why I chose to drive alone at that night. I knew I made a mistake. I knew it is very important to drive safely since I have 2 children and I saw a lot of car accidents happened since I came to USA. I got my driver license finally and I am going to be a good driver. I have a clean history.

What I should say if they ask me what is my options?
Any advice?
