Dismiss the case entirly may be possible but least likely

I have seen a girl who was charged driving without license in the court room and the judge said " if you have license now, I can reduce your fine...."  So reduce penalty in front of the judge is most likely possible.  Ask to dismiss the case entirely may be possible but least likely that could happen because by the time you really did not fully licensed.  However, who knows what the judge is thinking in the court room.  I have seen a judge show up in the court room and say "This is my last day being the judge, all cases dismiss.....".  I've also seen a judge said to me "For some reason, I can't find the material with your case, you are free to leave now...."  So if the court room is not 100 miles away, just go and hope.
