多谢指教！
刚才打合同时才注意到主合同的倒数第二条（以前没注意到），这么说的：

46 End of term

… Tenant shall be responsible for all rent and additional rent until the expiration date of the lease agreement. If tenant vacates the premises prior to the expiration date of term and the apartment home is re-rented prior to the expiration of the lease agreement, Tenant will still be responsible for all rent and additional rent due under the terms and conditions of this lease agreement regardless of any rent collected by landlord from a new tenant for said apartment home.

具体情况是：1）被 laid off 没能力再继续住下去；2）发生在纽约；3）提前两个月给了通知；4）最后一个月没住，提前搬出，留下了押金；5）在那里住的时间超过8年，一直没拖欠过房租；6）现已搬到别州，还在找工作处于没着落状态。
事前听当地人说一般解除合同提前搬出只要提前两个月给通知就行。

请问能有什么选项？多谢！
