Property lost in hospital

Hi,
My property has been taken away by a staff in the hospital and not returned to me after discharge. I have contacted with the hospital many times and they suggested I make a theft report to local police. However, the police said this is due to the failure of administration. Therefore, I would like to ask for help on how to get my lost Jewelry back!
