父母在美递交绿卡申请已半年，已按指纹并获得Alien number。最近收到移民局来函，可免于面试但需再等半年才可获批。因二老中国国内有事需办理，请问他们可申请返乡证吗？多久可得到批准？谢谢！
-They have to file I-131 to apply for advance parole (AP) to travel to China, and need to have the AP approval before they leave. If they have to leave urgently, they may go to the USCIS local office to get the emergency AP by providing the evidence of emergency. They can get the emergency AP in a few hours. It is free (no filing fee) for the AP application in your parents' case.
