My ex has depression too but we didnt have kids together. I also didnt ask for spousal support and didnt take a single penny out of him. To deal with people with depression walk out clean is your best bet. If you chase him down for more money you may win but you would push him to an extreme and disaster may happen. Just divorce debt free dont ask for anything from him. Tell him  you will waive spousal support but he has to pay Child support you can agree to take a lower number. If you go to court he knows he would pay more.
