you do not talk to dmv. dmv has nothing to do with the hold. only courts can issue holds and only courts can lift them. you have valid reason to dismiss the ticket but you still have to follow procedures. the reason you have a hold on you is because of the fta and you can only have it dismissed at trial. you will get to get a copy from your court file to show it was sent to wrong address. frankly I donot see how you can do that. red light cameras are operated by companies. upon violation they go to dmv to find your address based on the car registration. if your registration is current then the ticket will have the correct address. if so you will have a conviction of the fta even though the ticket can be dismissed. again you need to get a copy of the ticket to find out. which court is this? cameras are suspended now but it does not mean your ticket is invalid if you got them before the cameras were suspended.
