traffic court, q

我要去traffic court, 我们公司的legal 部门的人会陪我去-因为我们认为cop给我的罚太重了。 可是我想请问如果judge 不同意我门的请求， 那我是不是要去trial? 那样是不是会罚的更重， 也会在我的record里吗？ 会不会影响我以后找工作啊？ （对了， 我是在parking lot发生accident的）。 谢谢大家了~~ 我想把事情弄清楚， 在去court 之前
