父母探亲一定得买往返机票吗？

我母亲月底来美。没打算逾期居住。因为回去时也许走不同的路径
以便观光旅游，所以想买单程机票。航空公司告知美国规定这种签
证需买往返机票。请问移民局有这种规定吗？
