First of all, I didn't say that I am not going to take your advice.  2ndly, my insurance has told me that they will send an adjustor if I file a claim.  I can withdraw the claim if we decide not to go through insurance for payment.

Finally, he is my colleague and has a bad reputation among project teams for being very rude.  I have talked to HR about this.  HR commented that such behavior is very unethical for our industry (we may have very different policies than other industry).
