我有义务向警方透露信息吗？

经常有讨债公司、警察来我住的地方找前房客，我有义务向警方透露前房客的信息吗？（ 我有前房客的信息，前房客要我转一些他的信件，我听从老猫意见，统统交邮局退回了）
