In China, by default, your inheritance belongs to you and your hu*****and.  In US, I think in majority of the states, by default, your inheritance belongs to yourself.  Make sure you do not mix your inheritance with your other property.  For example, sell the house in China and use the money to pay down the house in US. If you do this, it becomes property to both of you.
