Question for F1 Visa

My niece currently attends boarding high school in US, and she is applying US colleges for fall of 2011 right now, her current F1 visa will not be expired until June 2014.

My question is does she need a new F1 visa for college or just change the name of school in the existing I-20 form? how does this proceed?
