Our house got broke in last week early in the morning. The thief got into our house at 3am through the unlocked kitchen window (he took off the screen from outside and push the closed but unlocked window open). All the doors were locked. We ended up with a loss of about 9k including laptop, purse, jewelry etc. Plus the robber took our car using the kay he got at the front desk. Police report said “broke in through unlocked ground floor window”.
We have home insurance, but wonder if the insurance will cut their payment to us because of our negligence. Please anyone with experience or knowledge give advice! Thanks in advance.
