PLATE过期被罚怎么办？

第一次拿罚单。PLATE过期被罚（210刀）。担心影响驾驶记录。我开车一向循规蹈矩，这次确实是忘记了，拿到罚单后立刻奔去RENEW。 有朋友建议上法庭恳请法官，但鄙人担心不但改变不了任何情况，反而要付开庭费。鄙人素来谨小式微，此时已坐立难安，还忘各位大侠指导建议！
