Old Cat and other, please help

I know I have asked before, but more detail this time...

My hu*****and's girlfriend negociates with us saying she wants separation money to compensate her, if we don't give her, she will make evidence of her affair with my hu*****and public. We definitely don't want that. Is it legal for her to do that? Can we use any legal method to protect us...
