要不要请律师？

前几天，车被一个醉鬼从后面撞了，老婆也受伤了， 在家休息了一个多星期。这个醉鬼被当场逮捕， 警察的报告说他的酒精浓度是0.17%， 走路歪歪斜斜， 连自己的鼻尖都指不到。那个醉鬼请了个律师，耍赖， 说不是他的错。他保险公司的代表说醉鬼请了个律师， 现在不能决定陪不陪， 这个决定会很慢， 让我么先找自己的保险公司赔。事实上，醉鬼的保险公司和我们的是一家， farmers.

现在， 看病的钱是用我们工作的医疗保险。车的索赔要扣掉我们的deductible.

打电话问了一下律师， 律师很积极， 费用是索赔额的1/3, 如果上法庭， 是索赔额的40%。

有经验的， 请谈谈我们要不要请律师？律师能帮我们做什么？谢谢。
