car bike accident - help

On Friday afternoon, while biking from work to home on city streets ( I have been biking all summer), I was hit by a car driven by an old lady and fell down to ground. My pants, bike along with my baby seat got scraped and scratched. My left knee and both of my palms got bruised. Police filed a report and gave me an accident report number. I was so worried about myself at that time and forgot to ask about claiming my property loss. What should I do not to claim my loss? I still have some pain. What if the pain does not go away after a while, should I file law suit?

Please help and thanks in advance.

P.S. The property loss is not such a big deal but her attitude was so bad. She looked at my bruised hand with blood mark and yelled to me "That's nothing!".
