if she was on another lane, then you would win the case 100%. However, could you prove? as you said, that driver said you took her lane.
The good thing for you was that driver did not stop in scene.
I think you could talk with that police to make the report more objective. The bottom line is you could send a letter with your statment of the accident and that police report to the department of internal audit of public safty. However, no one could tell you if you could win the case. even it looks you have a case. Maybe you could ask a prefessional lawer to see if the hit-and-run is solid;
