请问在休长期残障休假(long-term disability leave)时，可否要求回原公司上班？

请问在休长期残障休假(long-term disability leave)时，可否要求回原公司上班？是否因此会失去long-term disability benefit?

我去年得重病，我从去年五月开始修短期残障休假(short-term disability leave)，到了去年十一月(after 6 month)病仍未好，就进入长期残障休假(long-term disability leave)，拿long-term disability benefit (60% of my salary)。 按公司的说法我得职位已terminated。

现我感觉好一点，想回原公司上班，请问原公司HR会让我回去吗 (they claim that my previous position was eliminated, and no current position open)？我回去时会带一封医生证明说我的身体好多了，公司会不会以此为理由即不给我position，又断了我的long-term disability leave benefit？进退两难中。
