CA Unemployment insurance appeals

Hi, EDD has denied my unemployment benifit due to
1) i did not mail out the claim letter on time
2) i miss the edd scheduled interview phone call


Now I am scheduling an appealing with San Jose of Appeals.
does anybody know what chance that I have to win? and what document I should prepare? if you have the similar experience, please let me know what I need to do. very frustrating with this matter since the EDD number was unavailable forever.
