HELP: Unfair Traffic Ticket

This was a bad experience that my friend just had a couple days ago.
His car was hit by a new teenage-girl driver in a 4-way intersection. When the accident happened, he was driving through the intersection while the girl tried to turn left. His car was hit in the back left side by the girl's car. On the scene, since there is not a left turn signal light, a police officer judged easily that it was the girl's fault and issued an ticket to her. The girl admitted her fault and said "sorry" to my friend at the same time.

However the thing changed dramatically two days after the accident. My friend had been waiting for the accident report in the home when the police officer knocked on his door. The officer told him he got a call from a witness a few hours after the accident claimed that he saw my friend 冲红灯. So the officer issued a ticket to my friend. The fact is that my friend did not 冲红灯, but it was 黄灯 when he got in the intersection. It was verified in the girl's statement to the officer.

Now my friend is waiting for the court date. How can my friend prove his innocence before the judge? What evidences does he need to collect? He is desperate to seek some suggestions, opinions and comments from experts here.
