紧急求助! 马上要长期出差, 今天被抓到罚TICKET

大家好: 我在加洲. 今天(周六)晚上7点开车, 忘记开灯. 被警察抓住, 给了NOTICE TO APPEAR. 上面写的是我2010年1月14日之前必须appear at court. 但是我下周三
(11月11日)马上去中国, 2010年的3月底才回来. 当时警察在旁边我比较紧张(没带车保险条), 忘记告诉他我要出国的事情.

我的问题是:
1. 我可以延迟去COURT的时间吗?, 比如延迟到明年3月?
2. 我也可以下周一马上去COURT, 但是估计那里的电脑没有我violation的信息. 即使没有信息, 我算是去COURT了吗? 我可以把罚款交了吗?
