事情没有完。这个房东接着捏造东西了,联合另1个住2楼(Living room 改成Bedroom)的黑人,说我用这个租客的Bathroom, 等等, 是CRIMINAL activity。我是住3楼,Bathroom 在自己房间内的。这个2楼的Bathroom是在Living room外的。
教训
1. 要有直觉。我在那住了2.5年,看着别人搬进,然后很快搬出,没有警觉。也看到有别的女生来看房,但没租。也没有警觉。我没有别人醒目啊,没有被PUSH到,就不会动。
2. 搬进时,要有MOVE-IN LIST,确认有什么。我现在就在陷阱里了。我搬进时,自己的家具搬不上3楼,放在车库里。房间里有一些家具,不知道是房东的,还是以前的租客的。现在,我要搬出,如果我全部搬空,你们可以看到,这个房东说会告我偷他的东西。如果我不搬空,估计他会说我留下TRASH,将来又要CHARGE我了。
以后,和租房公司打交道,会好些。和私人房东,不说清楚,就会有这些纠纷。

Before you move your belongings out of my garage you will need to pay me for the storage space usage as follows:
30months X $24= $720 (May 2007 - October 2009).
Nothing is free is this world.
Your belongings in my garage didn't allow me to use my garage for 2.5 years and you know that you needed to pay for storing them.
You will not be able to have your sofa and your bed unless you pay for the storage space.
The security deposit purpose is to secure that you have cleaned the rented premise upon your departure and have not broken/damaged anything in my house.
Please take that into consideration.

I don't think I own you any money on this. You never communicate the cost of storage, neither oral or in writing, neither the time I moved in, nor the time you terminated the lease. I thought you are doing so as courtesy. I wouldn't have rented your room and store my belongings in garage for 2.5 years if I have known about the cost.
I will allow you to keep my deposit, as an exchange, I take my furniture tomorrow. You as a landlord, has no right to hold my personal belongings. You don't want yourself in a situation when I get my personal property through the small case court, do you?
