Be sure get all documents prepared and prepare good reasons for why you ransfer to F1 and stay in US and so on. I know a friend who first entered US with B2 visa then transfered to F1, then transfered to H1, still got visa in mexico.

But still you have to take risks to go there. Just think through how eager you want to go back, is it worth to take a risk.
