昨天可算我们家的看牙日。我早上去做新牙冠；下午弟弟去除牙箍。
下午，弟弟才离开牙诊所，牙医就打电话来做了简单的就诊报告。
弟弟一进家门，我就迫不及待地要求他张开嘴给看看。
看到了看到了，除掉了牙箍的一口牙，又白又整齐！
吃晚饭的时候，我还在感慨弟弟漂亮的牙齿：“Hi, your teeth are just like your uncle‘s.”
哥哥好奇：“What do you mean? Like my uncle’s?”
我赶紧解释：“He has big upper teeth and small ones on the bottom, just like yours.”
弟弟不屑地笑出声来：“Aren’t all human’s teeth like that?!”
妈妈语塞，弟弟说得对啊；但还想解释两句：“Well, yeah. You’re right. I only said that because your grandma made some comments like that 20 years ago and it stuck with me.”
弟弟更不屑了：“20 years ago? I wasn’t even born yet!”
兄弟俩一起狂笑。
我还想再添两句，但是越描越黑了，还是赶紧吃饭吧。
我给狗碗里放了两小块胡萝卜，狗狗闻了闻，不吃。喂狗的时候，我叫弟弟先把胡萝卜块扔垃圾桶，再放狗粮。弟弟没听懂，直接把狗粮倒狗碗里了。
狗狗埋头吃饭的当儿，我又说了一遍扔胡萝卜的话。弟弟这次听见了，但不相信自己的耳朵：“You want me to eat the carrots?”
我更不敢相信自己的耳朵：“什么？”
等到都弄明白了，两人狂笑不止！
弟弟去洗手了。哥哥过来问我们笑什么；听明白了，哥哥也笑个不停。
哥哥还要拿弟弟开涮：“It’s carrots so he won’t eat it. But if it’s something else, he might eat it.”
我第二次不敢相信自己的耳朵: “No way! Like what?”
哥哥很了解地一笑：“Like Cane’s.” （Raising Cane’s 是弟弟最爱的炸鸡店。）
弟弟洗了手回来，哥哥把刚才的问题问他：“If there’s a piece of chicken in that bowl and it’s from Cane’s. Will you eat it?”
弟弟耸耸肩：“Of course! It’s Cane’s.”
我快要站不住了：“Surely you are not that desperate！”
弟弟毫不在意：“Why matters? If it’s rinsed and soaked with soap, then dry with a paper towel…..I’ll eat it.”
什么？用肥皂洗炸鸡？
男孩子的糙劲儿让我瞪大了眼睛，惊掉了下巴，但也笑破了肚皮。。。。
爸爸当晚应邀去看球赛了，错过了哥俩精彩的的对答和捧腹的机会。（图片来自网络）
