I am a physician myself and my baby is also having eczema. here is my 2 cents.
Eczema topical treatment includes skin moisterizers, steroids, and immunosuppresents - remember, the last one is far worse than steroids, which is commonly used to treat systemic immune diseases and cancers. many chinese traditional medicine ingredients like tacrolimus, are in this catogery. they are effective to immune disorders, I bet eczema is one of them.
but I will never ever use it on my baby, why?
because it damage the kidney, liver etc.!!! remember, the immunosuppresents kills cancer cells.
yes, eczema can cause infection, but we have antibiotics, and the antibiotics have far less side effects than immunosuppresents!
please, please, don't be fooled by so called "all natural" medicine, they have far more than you know.
believe me or not, it is your own call.
not only steroids are used in eczema treatment
